How do I Start and what are the requirements in California?

You must complete all the Security Guard requirements for California.  Please refer to our Security Guard page for requirements, class fees and state costs. 

What are the steps I take to become a Bodyguard?

1. Security Guard Training (40 hour Requirement)
2. Firearms Permit (Exposed, take in conjunction with Guard Card)
3. Baton Permit
4. Red Cross CPR
5. Red Cross First Aid
6. Pepper Spray Permit
7. Tactical Firearms training
8. Defensive Driving Skills
9. Martial Arts (Best to have two styles if possible)
10. Bodyguard Training (We have the best training criculumim in the field)
11. Concealed Weapons Permit (This is a big plus if you can get one in California, see my CCW page for requirements and process to obtain your CCW).
